Fennemiek Gommer treedt toe tot Algemeen Bestuur Facilicom Group
Schiedam, 13 september 2023 – Fennemiek Gommer (58) is op 30 augustus toegetreden tot het Algemeen Bestuur van Facilicom Group. Met haar ruimschootse ervaring in innovatietrajecten bij bedrijven vormt zij als niet-uitvoerend lid een waardevolle aanvulling op het bestuur van de facilitaire dienstverlener. Met de komst van Gommer bestaat het Algemeen Bestuur uit zeven leden.
Gommer staat al ruim 15 jaar aan het hoofd van Caracta, haar eigen bedrijf dat organisaties ondersteunt bij het ontwikkelen van innovaties en het vormgeven van hun toekomst. Daarnaast zit Gommer in de Raad van Commissarissen van een aantal familiebedrijven. Naast Ridder en Walraven in Nederland, ook het Italiaanse TESYA. Volgens Hans Gennissen, Voorzitter Algemeen Bestuur van Facilicom Group, maakt dit haar een zeer welkome aanvulling op de expertise en kennis van de huidige bestuursleden. “Als één van de grootste dienstverlenende organisaties in Nederland zijn wij continu bezig met het verbeteren van onze bestaande processen én het vernieuwen ervan. Wij zochten specifiek naar versterking op het gebied van innovatie en zijn verheugd met de komst van Fennemiek als expert op dit gebied.”
Sociaal duurzame strategie
Gommer kijkt er naar uit om samen met de andere bestuursleden de toekomst van Facilicom Group verder vorm te geven. “Ik vind het fantastisch om voor familiebedrijven te werken omdat waardecreatie om meer gaat dan financiële waarde, en de cultuur mensgericht is. Dit geldt ook voor Facilicom Group, met haar ruim 21.000 medewerkers met verschillende culturen is het een enorm divers bedrijf. Bovendien heeft Facilicom Group een prachtige sociaal duurzame strategie, waar ik met mijn ervaring op het gebied van strategie en innovatie een waardevolle bijdrage aan kan leveren.”
Daarnaast kan Gommer zich vinden in sociale impact die bij Facilicom Group voorop staat. “Ik heb ervaring bij een dwarsdoorsnede van allerlei verschillende bedrijven, waarbij sociale impact voor mij een belangrijk thema is. Zo zat ik in de Raad van Toezicht van een Jeugdzorg organisatie en maak ik me hard voor diversiteit en inclusie, ook als voorwaarde voor innovatie. Bij Facilicom Group zal Gommer naast haar plek in het Algemeen Bestuur ook toetreden tot de HR Commissie.
Met de komst van Gommer bestaat het huidige Algemeen Bestuur van Facilicom Group uit: Eric Otto (CEO), Hans Gennissen (Voorzitter), Marcel Rotteveel (CFO), Martine Geurts, Walter Geurts, Marcel Krom en Fennemiek Gommer.

Fennemiek Gommer joins the General Board of Facilicom Group
Schiedam, September 13, 2023 - Fennemiek Gommer (58) joined the General Board of Facilicom Group on August 30th. With her extensive experience in innovation projects at companies, she brings valuable expertise as a non-executive member to the board of the facility services provider. With Gommer's arrival, the General Board now consists of seven members.
Gommer has been leading her own company, Caracta, for over 15 years, which supports organizations in developing innovations and shaping their future. Additionally, Gommer serves on the Supervisory Boards of several family businesses, including Ridder and Walraven in the Netherlands, as well as the Italian company TESYA. According to Hans Gennissen, Chairman of the General Board of Facilicom Group, this makes her a very welcome addition to the expertise and knowledge of the current board members. "As one of the largest service organizations in the Netherlands, we are continuously improving our existing processes as well as innovating them. We were specifically looking for reinforcement in the area of innovation and are delighted with the arrival of Fennemiek as an expert in this field."
Socially sustainable strategy
Gommer is looking forward to shape the future of Facilicom Group together with the other board members. "I'm excited to work for family businesses because value creation is about more than financial value, and the culture is people-oriented. This also applies to Facilicom Group, with its diverse workforce of over 21,000 employees from different cultures, making it a highly diverse company. Furthermore, Facilicom Group has a wonderful socially sustainable strategy, to which I can make a valuable contribution with my experience in strategy and innovation."
In addition, Gommer also aligns with social impact that is a priority at Facilicom Group. "I have experience with a cross-section of various companies, where social impact is an important theme for me. For example, I was on the Supervisory Board of a Youth Care organization and advocate strongly for diversity and inclusion, also as a prerequisite for innovation. At Facilicom Group, Gommer will not only have a position in the General Board but will also join the HR Committee."
